Plant Tissue Culture

Mariz TCL.JPG

Since 1997, Harbest Agribusiness Corporation has grown from a distributor of quality hybrid seeds into a nationwide agri-technology solutions provider committed to uplifting Filipino farmers. As part of this mission, we established the Harbest Tissue Culture Laboratory, inspired by the pioneering work of Filipino plant chemist, Ray Lebon Ong, and developed under the leadership of his protégé, Dominic Galimba. Our laboratories in Pasig and Jala-Jala specialize in the mass propagation of Lakatan and Saba bananas, vanilla, kamote, and high-value ornamentals, with active research on bamboo, strawberry, seaweed, and more. We offer a wide range of cost-effective, locally fabricated laboratory furniture and supplies — culture vessels, chemicals, LED-lit steel racks, blower boxes, and transfer cases — designed for both startup and existing laboratories. In addition to product supply, we provide consultancy services, laboratory planning and design, and turnkey solutions tailored to various needs and scales. Our hands-on training programs have equipped numerous technicians across the country with both foundational and advanced tissue culture skills. To date, we have successfully implemented multiple turnkey projects nationwide and regularly supply commercial laboratory needs.
