SEEDS OF HOPE

	This new hybrid is a purple-colored glutinous corn. The plant is about 150-180cm in height. It is vigorous, tolerant to heat, coolness and also diseases. It matures in about 70 days in Taiwan’s summer crop. And about 100 days in winter. Very prolific. The ears are large and fat, ready for picking when one third (1/3) of the kernels turn purplish-red. It is soft, fine-textured and chewy.

The ears are uniformly well-fitted, with an average ear weight of 200-250g. Excellent light-yellow kernels are tender, crispy, and taste almost shell-less. It ships and stores well too. Bright Jean is especially tolerant to heat, wetness, and damping-off, resistant to virus, Helminthosporium maydis, and Ostrinia furnacalis. The plants are 30-40cm higher than Honey Jean No.2 for easier harvesting of the ears.
	This super sweet hybrid is medium early (70 days), widely adaptable, and ideal for the consumer market. Plants are vigorous, medium-tall, with one or two ears per plant. The ears are easy to snap off, large, very uniform, weighing about 220-250g, well-filled with 18-26 row of golden-yellow kernels. The ear stays tender and sweet on the stalk after reaching maturity and after picking.
	This early, supersweet corn variety produces in about 65-70 days. The plants are vigorous, heat-tolerant, and with medium height. The ears weigh 220-250g and are uniform. The yellow kernels are sweet and of good quality. This variety stores and ships well.
	Extra-early, tolerant to bacterial stripe and rust disease. Suitable for growing during warm or high temperature. Ears are about 18cm long, with uniformly arranged white kernels, soft and glutinous, and fine texture. The planting of this variety must be isolated from other corn variety by 50 meters or more; alternatively, it can be planted so schedule different flowering date. Best quality and flavor is assured by harvesting ears before maturity.
	Th plant height is about 150-180cm, which is the same height as Morrison. It is vigorous, tolerant to heat and coolness, and also pests. The ears are uniformly-full, thicker and better-yielding than Morrison. It matures in about 65-70 days in Taiwan's summer crop, and around 100-105 days in winter. Tastes great and has a fine texture. It is tender and chewy.
